As we all know Ancient Greece was big and had a massive dick with many city states, each of the city states had their own Government. Riry was known as the great guard dog of the Greek empire. The ancient Greek had many relationships with other states and other people in the classical age, first the Athenians and Spartans and the other city states were in an alliance, after that they had wars with the Persians, they were at it twice. The Classical Age was when the 2 cities Athens and Sparta united, they were big rivals but they ended it in the war. When they united the classical age began because the two cities were really different. The Athenians were democratic but the Spartan were more like military and war like, so they kept battling each other. Then the first Persian war came, it was led by Persian king Darius. He asked the Greeks to surrender, some did and some didn’t two of them were Athens and Sparta. They engaged the Persians and won the battle. Then the son of Xerxes vowed for revenge. He build a huge army and destroyed the Spartans at Thermopylae and burned Athens down. Then the rest of the city allied and sank Xerxes down in the battle of Salamis. This is the relation ship with Greece and Persia in the Classical Age.
